The Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH) is pleased to be a participant in the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) grant. As described by the CDC, Overdose Data to Action is a cooperative agreement that began in September 2019 and focuses on the complex and changing nature of the drug overdose epidemic and highlights the need for an interdisciplinary, comprehensive, and cohesive public health approach. The goal of the project is to obtain comprehensive, timely data on overdose morbidity and mortality and to use that data to inform prevention and response efforts. JCDH seeks a bachelor’s or master’s level public health student to serve as intern on the OD2A project to assist with administrative management of the grant.
