Skilled Production Laborer

Pay: $17.00/hr
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: Spring Valley, IL

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Skilled Production Laborer to join our team in Spring Valley, IL. This position involves assembly work, wiring connectors, basic repairs, forklift operation, and assisting with shop and outdoor maintenance duties. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with general shop operations and assembly functions.
• Wire connectors for underwater applications.
• Read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Follow work orders and bills of materials to ensure accurate production.
• Learn to use and read electrical testing meters.
• Assist with the repair and maintenance of various water features.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and products safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Perform occasional outdoor work, including pond and yard maintenance.
• Support production needs and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read electrical schematics preferred.
• Ability to follow work orders and detailed instructions.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
