The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle through resort-class amenities. Located 12 miles from historic Savannah, our Club offers members access to six championship golf courses, two marinas, 31 tennis courts, 15 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, eight unique dining venues, five clubhouses, five swimming pools and a 52,000 sq. ft., wellness center.

Landscaper Job Responsibilities:

• Greets members, guests with a smile, and takes care of their needs
• Weeds and prepares soil for planting
• Rakes and/or uses leaf blower to clear debris
• Digs and plants as directed
• Mows using walk mower and riding mower as appropriate
• Represents the club with the utmost of professionalism
• Cleans maintenance area and equipment daily
• Follows safety guidelines described in the operating procedures and practices behavior that ensures the safety of the employee, co-workers, members, and guests
• Complies with departmental and Club appearance standards
• Works variety of shifts, as needed to include weekends and/or holidays
• Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Landscaper Job Qualifications:

• Must have valid driver’s license to operate Club vehicle
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• 1 year of landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred; experience in a club, resort, or commercial property setting preferred
• Basic knowledge of landscaping practices, including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and weed control
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and outdoor water management (preferred, not required)

Landscaper Critical Skills:

• Knowledge of mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, and general landscape upkeep
• Understanding of plant health, proper watering techniques, seasonal care, fertilization, and pest awareness
• Skilled in safely using lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters, and basic irrigation tools
• Ability to maintain clean, well-manicured grounds with a high standard for aesthetics
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift heavy objects, and follow safety protocols
• Efficiently prioritizes daily tasks and completes work with minimal supervision
• Identifies issues such as irrigation leaks, plant health concerns, or safety hazards and communicates them promptly
• Works effectively with grounds staff and other departments to support property appearance and operational needs
• Consistently arrives prepared, uses equipment responsibly, and maintains assigned areas with care
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
