Location: Cathedral City, CA 92234
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Schedule: 5 Days per Week | 8-Hour Shifts
Salary: $300,000 – $320,000 Annually
Sign-On Bonus: $30,000
We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) with residency teaching experience to join a well-established outpatient primary care practice in Cathedral City, California.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, patient-focused physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare to a diverse patient population while contributing to clinical education and mentorship.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience teaching or mentoring medical residents, and a commitment to preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventive services, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management.
Conduct physical examinations, evaluate diagnostic results, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide clinical teaching, mentorship, and guidance to medical residents and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and clinical support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a multicultural patient population.
Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical performance programs.
Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care as appropriate.
Participate in scheduled after-hours call coverage as required.
Required:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
Active, unrestricted California medical license.
Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
Prior residency teaching or medical resident supervision experience.
Active DEA registration.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
Experience in an outpatient primary care or community health setting.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Experience working with culturally diverse and underserved patient populations.
Annual Salary: $300,000 – $320,000
